Creates five regional positions for the department.
President Joe Biden announced the creation of five new leadership positions within the Department of Agriculture (USDA) last week. Three State Executive Directors have been added to the Farm Service Agency (FSA), and two State Directors have been added to Rural Development (RD). Ronald Guidry, Jr. will be Louisiana’s FSA Director, Mark Gibbons for Utah, and Maureen Wicks for Montana. Christy Davis will be RD State Director in Kansas, and Lillian Salerno will be RD State Director in Texas.
“Here at USDA, we continue to add experienced and talented individuals to our state offices,” said Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. “I have full confidence that each of these individuals will add knowledge and leadership to the dedicated team at the Department.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for the president and his advisors as they expand federal departments and appoint leaders.
- That Secretary Vilsack would seek God’s wisdom as he oversees USDA expansion.
- For discernment for the new U.S. officials as they assume their roles.
